Everyone Is Different

We’ve learned a lot throughout the semester about different ethnic backgrounds, social structures, cultures and more. I think the section that stood out to me the most and I really took into consideration and did a reality check was chapter 8 about sex. This chapter forced me to think about all the different types of people I know and their different orientations s or lifestyles. I feel as if everyone is entitled to there own sexual preference and should be able to do whatever makes him or her happy. I remember on the test we were asked the question about what the different orientations were. The different types were heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, and asexual. It’s funny because sometimes you never know what type of person you are commuting with. You can be at Chase Bank and the teller could be asexual. This is why you shouldn’t prejudge people or treat them different because of their personal lifestyle choices.

Everyone deserves equal work rights. This is why people take it so serious about how they are being treated in the work place. They want to be treated the same as the next heterosexual person or homosexual person. No one should be treated differently because of their orientation and this is becoming a topic in the United States because so many people are not being treated fairly.

There are many different types of discrimination and you shouldn’t be discriminated on because of the way you look or act. This is unfair and not a good thing to do unto people. Everyone has a different upbringing and culture, which is why we should not prejudge or discriminate against people, but get to know him or her for him or her even though they are different.
